Cross 3.3.3 demo hot cue

Hello;)

I'm testing the demo version of Cross 3.3.3 and found another little thing. The hot cue does not start at the beginning of the track, I've noticed that in multiple songs. Here is the screenshot:

Do you know how it can be modified, so that the hot cue will start at the beginning?:) Thank you very much, looking forward to hearing from you:)

The analysis function of Cross puts the Cue at a ''smart' position. Usually the first beat.
This generally allows for best results in mixing and automixing.

If you want tracks to start somewhere else (earlier or later, like after intro) then just place the Cue there; new value is saved for track.

When stopped in deck, press Cue or C.
When playing press Shift-C.

Generally enabling Quant and Snap gives the best results. 1/2 or 1 are typical, but your style might require other values.

Thank you very much for all the valuable information;) I thought that hot cue is automatically set to the first beat or first sound above some threshold;) The thing about setting cue is interesting, since I wanted to import collection from rekordbox, but tracks need to be analyzed again and that means also setting new cue for each track.

Also, I've noticed some other thing, the downbeat in the beatgrid is sometimes shifted 2 beats to the right, so I need to set the downbeat manually (also can be seen in the previous screenshot). That's also by design or it should be otherwise?:)

Thank you for your help, appreciate it;)

I'm not really into this detail. Others likely can give more details.
What I do know is that the positioning of the grid has to do with the distribution of the beat cycle throughout the track.

In my version of the track the grid is spot on from 3:45 (remain).
As the cycle is distributed equal the beginning is off.

In mixing this would mean that when you Cross over to this track the intro may be off grid as the bass would be mostly from the other deck, so after the mentioned point it is in sync with the other track and the bass can be kicked in (assuming same bpm set/started with sync)

And my non-technical opinion:
Forget about playing whole intro's. There will be occasions where it is a requirement or comes in handy (30seconds break + walking + cleaning  ) , but to keep the flow it isn't really needed.

If people want to listen to music they will do it at home.

The advantage (i see) is that you can use way more tracks that people might recognize and stay in better control of the flow.

Unless of course you want to play 1 track for like an hour with all the features like FX, loops, samplers, pitch, ....

Hello Ronald;)

Appreciate your input, you're completely right, it's not very often I play the whole song with the intro, I was just curious about the features of the Cross and how it works;) The idea of playing 1 track with all the FX, etc. is very interesting, I've not tried that yet, maybe will at home, just to see what could be done with it :D

Thank you again and wish you a nice day ;)
