Does the now mapping of the Pioneer ddj-sx will work with the upcoming ddj-sx 2 ? Is the same controller, just a couple of extra features added.

 in the world of MIDI mappings ,,those extra controls can alter the whole mapping ,, but I will say that the MIDI learn feature of Cross should help you sort out the differences ,,

I should work for the most part. only to flip buttons won't be mapped to anything and the pad LED might have problems (at least with colors)

But other then that everything should be the same in functions

I compared the MIDI documentation for the DDJ-SX and the DDJ-SX2.
For the majority of functions the DDJ-SX mapping will work with the DDJ-SX2 except for the following exception:

Vinyl mode
Slip Mode
Load as a clone of Master

Will have to be re-mapped to different parameters.

This is not a difficult task at all but for testing purposes someone with the DDJ-SX2 must roger up for testing.

Gullum is correct, the flip buttons will not be mapped to anything but there are plenty of creative ways to use the additional buttons with Crosss.
