New user Hello and some serial key help

Hi, new to Cross and love it just moved from the trial version to full bought on the Mac app store. Is there a way to get the serial number, I need to move back to my laptop as I'm having some dramas with Macbook. I'll post another full thread on the issues to see if some one can help. Basically distorted sound I keep pushing the latency up further and further but it keeps happening even all the way up 45 it just buys me time till it happens again.

I use a Macbook pro2,2 2.33 core duo, 3gb with two Denon Sc2900s and a DN-X1500 mixer.

the quick way to get a Cross DJ serial is:

forward your app store bill to djcommunity@mixvibes.com

a user account on this forum must be open first with this restriction your forum user mail address must be the same as on your bill.

Cross is capable of running with quite low latency, providing the sc supports this. First thing to do is go to highest value. If still issues you are sure that it must be something else. Else go lower step by step.
Did you already analyze the tracks you're using? Also there shouldn't be running to many other processes.

Once you registered your license key (after receiving) you can open a new topic in the Cross forum and get in more detail there. You'll also be able to upload files with e.g. some screen shots of settings.

My library is 1tb so not everything is analysed yet. But i have been testing with the same 5 songs that are analysed. What happens is ill be set at say 11ms, then 15 minutes or so sound sound becomes distorted. So I'll push the latency higher and it works for about 10 minutes happens again and again till i hit 45 at maximum. Tried most tutorials on optimising the mac. Shut what background tasks I can, disabled mds and spotlight. All firmware is upto date.

Narrowing down some more, it has to be an issue around the Sc2900s. Ran the Aggregate tonight with three outputs, two main through the sc2900s and cue through the macs sound card. About 15 minutes in distorted sound, affecting DeckA and DeckB. The sound coming through the mac as cue was perfectly clear. So rerouted the channels while playing so that deck one was now going to the mac and cue was now routed through the sc2900 sound card. Cue running through the sc2900 now is distorted and deckA running the mac clear as can be.

So running the Macbook just using the MacBooks sound card into the mixer and denons as controllers only now, sound perfect. Running the Aggregate with 1 sc2900 as sound card and mac as the other. Distorted sound comes eventually comes from DeckB the sc2900 but deck a running through the mac sound card clear as anything.

So something somewhere is going wrong with trying use Denons as sound cards.

This likely is a driver issue. If there is a newer driver you should try that. If not reinstalling the driver might be a good idea.

No drivers to download for mac from what i can see ill post on denon forums for more info. Seems macs have an issue with sc2900 and 3900 usb sound cards. Alot of other user have reverted to using other sound cards because of this.

It's annoying, Cross works so good with the Mac. Is there a way of running 1 output into split mono, so that Deck a runs through Left and Deck B through Right

The split mono makes one side master and one side preview.

You could try to aggregate sc with mac sc to use one sc as master and one as preview.

I am having the same issue with the serial number. I sent an email with the receipt but haven't received any response. What is the normal turn around time?
