Upgrade from Cross DJ(app) to Cross

Good evening all,
I'm looking to upgrade from Cross DJ to Cross, however is it right that i'll need my license key to do so? I purchased Cross DJ for my Macbook pro through the app store and cannot find a licence key. I just hit install and everything happened from there. I'm just worried that i'll pay the upgrade fee and fail at the 1st hurdle.
May be a question for Mixvibes admin, but if anyone knows then please share the knoweledge.

might have to wait on a board admin ,, by all means try out the free version ,, the upgrade price is for a licenced ver of Cross DJ to Cross,, not shure about the price for going from the app to Cross ,

Thanks for the reply Daniel. To clarify, I've already tried the free version which I liked and in turn prompted me to buy Cross DJ. However now that I have this version (which was bought through the Apple App Store, which surely is all above board, completely legitimate. And therefore I should have a full, completely functioning version of DJ which in a sense should be licensed). Problem is, I although now have DJ I'm struggling to setup my CDJ 850's as MIDI controllers. I've been combing the forum for tips, tricks and videos to set up the CDJ's, but to be honest have just been left feeling very confused by all the technical jargon, and still haven't been able to get them going. So thought what the heck, just upgrade to Cross for the HID integration, from what I can gather is just plug n play. Could do with a guide that takes you from caveman to CEO of World Corp lol. Seriously though, a guide that takes from out of the box that includes what need s to be done with the MacBook Pro, the CDJ and Cross itself.

Installing Cross with CDJ is part of the Help menu in Cross.

I've just searched for 'license key' in the forum search bar and found a post by entslee dating back to May 17 2014 who had the same license key issues. Jim B posted this link

which appears to have been some help. Unfortunately when I hit this link, all I get is a message saying that I'm not authorised to use this forum.

Could any elaborate on the link above? May be the answer I'm looking for.

Any idea on the estimated response time for this sort of thing?

Would like to get up and running sharpish. Got a gig next Saturday and would be great if I could spend a bit of time getting the new toy nailed before then. All re-registered in line with the iTunes account (hence the new username) and emailed receipt as directed.
