DVS Ultimate

Good day to all,

I am new here and seem to be in a bit of a pickle. I have purchased the DVS Ultimate package and can't seem to get it to work. My set up includes 1 DJX900 Mixer, 2 Audio Technica turntables and a Lenovo X61 computer. I am getting a strange whine when I drop the needle on the vinyl and I can not get the turntables to calibrate. Can someone please assist me. I would be most grateful before I toss this stuff out of a window as I have been trying to make it work for 6 hours....lol.

Thanks.

Hi, Welcome to Mixvibes,

Could you capture the timecode and audio tab op preferences and post it as attachment. This might help to rule out several causes.

Generally (don't know details of your equipment).
Connect Line level if your equipment allows for it (switches) and set Cross to Line. If not, use Phono.
Monitor of the input should be disabled in the soundcard settings.
If you use tc only (no music record) then set audio inputs to None.

Brief description of how you connected might also be helpful.

 need a little bit more info ,, for familiar users with this set up ,, have limited knowledge ,, but will try to help ,, info as to system specs ,, audio config screen shots would be helpful ,, ,and on a small note please regerster the software licence key in the fourm ,, allows for any up dates and firm ware needed , also allows for posting in approiate fourm ,, user control panel/profile/serial# .. also will give a upgrade price for the Cross software if you choose ,,
there is a free version to get some familiarity with it even though limited in functions , all this just to say welcome to mixvibes and the fourm

The whine sound is the sound off the time code
You need to mute the inputs in your sound card drivers control panel

Hello again,

I would like to thank all who attempted to assist me with my installation issue with my DVS Ultimate package but I have solved the problem. I feel really stupid because the issue was nothing more than a loose wire connection on the cartridge. System is operating flawlessly now. Once again, Thanks for everything.
