64 bit

Hi, I would have posted this in the support section, but there is no "New Topic" link there (If someone can tell me how to post there, I'd appreciate it). Anyways, I was wondering if there was a 64 bit version of Cross DJ. After my purchase, the download link just downloaded a 32 bit version of it. Also, I purchased the 24 month download protection plan. Where do I go to access my files? Thanks!

If you do not have all access, please send a PM to UncleVibes. You have registered your license. It does happen that credentials are not all changed automatic.

A 64 bit will take a while. Just like most programs it is mainly a matter of components/drivers still being 32bit, which makes most (except linux) often run 32bit.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Did you mean that a 64 bit version would take a while for Mixvibes to create or to download? The computer I want to run it on is new and it's running a 64 bit OS, so I'm sure the components and drivers meet the requirements. The install file that I downloaded installs as 32 bit, though

Cross has been tested 64-bit. For audio there is no benefit in 64bit. For video there may/will be. As you say a 64 CPU+OS is needed. Still many other components both hard as software are involved.
As with many 64 bit programs it appeared that in many setups effectively 32 bit is the max result.
Many suppliers deliver only 32-bit. Several hard- and software/driver suppliers deliver 64-bit drivers which are just recompiled 32-bit versions, not being modified for the 64-bit advantages but to avoid questions on when a 64-bit will come.

A recent post of UncleVibes (which I couldn't find back quickly) stated that it recently was reevaluated. Resulting in not delivering yet as anyone using it would expect it to deliver 64 bit experience; also if they use multiple devices.

+1 for Rojec answer.
In fact you will have a factor of 8% gain on a 64 bits version.
I think you must wait at least autumn to get a Cross 64 bits.

Now neither 64 bits OS (Windows OSX) are full 64 for compatibily reasons.
Only Linux OS is full 64 but that's an another story.

By the way your new post button should appear now
