Hey guys,

Just some random thoughts to an audience who I think might understand.

Do you ever suffer from crisis of confidence when you DJ?

I've had this hobby now for nearly three years. I've only played in public to friends, never in a bar or club. I'm probably far too old to ever be asked! I did manage (through posting on here!) to get a monthly internet show and I practice a few times a month to get something recorded for that. It's nowhere near enough time, and maybe that's the answer to why I lack any confidence in ability as a DJ.

I go through times where I hate all my music. I'll record a mix three or four times to get some transitions right due to mistakes or just bad choice of tracks. I'll eventually listen back to the finished set and still not be all that keen on it. The mistakes are basic things like poor timing, bumping the wrong thing on the mixer...!

So do you ever get like this? What do you do when it happens? Can you learn timing!?

 my thought on success in life is to find something you like to do,, practice it ,,enjoy it,, sometimes not being over critical if good ,, but a fair positive assessment to help you get better ,, and practice some more ,, eventulay the outcome will suit your needs ,, and your efforts will put you ahead of the others that haven't put in the time,, and always wind up at the place of enjoying what you do
