Is it possible to use a non-supported MIDI controller?

Hello there,

I wanted to post this into the "technical support" subforum, but I am unable to create a thread there. So if a mod could move this topic, that would be nice :)

I really like CrossDJ from what I have seen so far and would love to buy it, if there is a way to connect my Reloop Beatmix to it. I know that this is a shitty controller, but I do not have the money to upgrade right now. Is there a way to manually map a non-supported MIDI controller?

Yes you can map with the MIDI Learn function but it's bit more manual if you want to highlight leds on your controller

What does "a bit more manual" actually mean? And is this feature included in the $50 version?

MIDI is included in both Cross DJ as 'Full'. HID and timecode is in 'Full' only.
A bit more manual means you have to add some changes to the midi-mapping file.
Most important is that within Cross all MIDI controls can be mapped easily, so the commands will be executed and at a later moment you can add LED control to finish it off.
And if you ask for a certain mapping it might be others did the job already, maybe even with the led control.

PM UncleVibes, he'll be able to look at your forum permissions and possibly sort it for you.
