Envivo DJ Controller 1274

Hello Everyone

I have recently bought an Envivo DJ Controller 1274 from Aldi and I have had no success getting it to work. I am using a Novatech i7 computer running Windows 8. I think the error is something to do with Windows 8 setting up the 1274 as a composite usb device. When I plug the 1274 into the usb port it flashes the lights for a second then nothing. The 1274 does not allow MIDI mapping but ahould work automatically with the included software. i have registered the serial number under the 1274 successfully.

Can anyone help me please as I dont know what else to try and my only other alternative is to return it.

Does anyone know how to get it to work with Windows 8 please?

Maybe it's a USB issue?

It looks like the device doesn't support USB 3.0 only USB 2.0.

You could try it on a older PC/laptop that runs a older OS and has USB 2.0

I think you are right about it being a usb issue. I have usb2 and usb3 ports on the my i7 computer. I think Windows is loading its usb driver instead of using the one supplied with the 1274 but I dont know how to stop it. I have 2 i7 computers and I am updating one to Windows 8.1 to see if that helps as the update may have new usb drivers but I doubt it - Any more ideas gratefully received???

The Cross software is bundled. The hardware issue you seem to have has to be solved by the hardware supplier. It can not be resolved by mixvibes.
Maybe your Laptop supplier has other drivers for the usb ports..

Well gave up trying to get it to work with my i7 PC and returned it to ALDIs but since then I have purchased an iMac so found the controllers in ALDI again and it said works with Mac on the box so bought it again to try on iMac.

STILL will not work - I give up !!!

Welcome back, Sorry if we have to start from scratch, but likely it can be resolved for you. First we need to know what you did sofar.

- Did you download latest drivers from controller manufacturer.
- Did you install latest version of Cross LE (check Downloads section).

I assume you purchased a current iMac model.

Cross will check for a MIDI device at startup. SO it must be active in the OS at that moment. If you install afterwards it won't work (likely no more in that Cross session).

Just to be sure: the not working is about the MIDI commands not reflected in an action (splitsecond)?
Or are there audio issues?
