You're result likely is wrong. Could you please tell what it is you have problems with.
If it it hardware related it might be good to visit the site of the hardware provider. Cross has been bundled by that company. So it is important to know that they will have to deliver support for the connectivity.
Cross helps you to collect and play music DJ style. For this you need one or more output channels. In Preferences Audio you can set this up.
I do not know if your controller has audio in/output, so you might have to use the headphone output or connect a USB based soundcard.
For MIDI control you have to go to the Preferences | MIDI tab and select the right controller (for LE this sometimes is done automatic; please check).
