Today I bought this device from aldi and installed Cross DJ LE software (PC) but the unit only gives a quick flash of light when plugged and doesn't work with the software just stays switched off.

I'm not sure what the problem, hopefully someone here will

Makes sure the right driver is installed. Check manufacturer.
Maybe you have to select a MIDI mapping in preferences. You will notice if it is wrong (don't know how this works for LE.

I got it working on my laptop which was plugged into a usb 2.0 port so I thought that was the issue as it was in a usb 3.0 on my PC so I put some usb 2 ports on the PC but that didn't work.

more info as not too assume anything ,, spec of the computer it works on and the spec of the one it didnt ,, if all things being similiar then you need to look at the differences between the one that did work and the one that didnt ,, hope this helps and let us know how you are getting along and welcome to mixvibes
