Using Maschine with Cross as a MIDI device

Hi - just wondering, has anyone used their NI Maschine with Cross ?

I'm about to get some turntables and trying to figure our the best way to navigate Cross and browse/load/fire samples/loop etc.

I was thinking maybe to get an old NI X1 2nd hand or some other MIDI device, but then I suddenly thought I've got a Maschine for my producing acitivities, and why not use that when playign out?

Having a look round though, there doesn't seem to be a mapping for Cross/Maschine. Has anyone made one, or if not is it difficult to make a mapping ?

Hi,
You'll have to wait to see if someone passes by with the requested mapping before you're going to try yourself...

Mapping is not to difficult. You can try from scratch or copy a mapping looking close to your device (I would recommend the latter).

Select the mapping and create/modify the mapping at the right. Basically it is a matter of touching the controller item and it is mapped. For 'range' objects some more tweaking of the parameters can be handy.

If you give it a try you will know in about a quarter/half hour if that's the way you want to go. Meanwhile you get to know features that are supported by Cross, as almost all can be Midi-mapped.
Try several types of knobs/button/fader in the first period.

Be aware that once mapped it works (e.g. preview with max volume....)

Have fun

Hey, I'm also trying to make a MIDI mapping for maschine. Have you made your map yet? I'm trying to do it now, but I'm used to Traktor and all the options in the controller editor are confusing
