It might be worthwhile upgrading your LE license to Cross DJ; one of the differences would be that you don't have to connect your controller to be able to use it and the other is having a product that works on current OD versions as well.
Please be aware that it's due the the manufacturers way of bundling the software that upgrading is limited.

Also using 2.6 you can add many tracks at once.
Via the menu you can import a Directory, which will also import tracks in subfolders.

Thanks, I'll possibly consider this if I get into this a little more since even the software I'm using now apart from the iTunes issue is quite fun and intuitive and somewhat reliable.

So if I had the upgrade, this iTunes issue would not exist?

You can try the Cross Demo version to check it out...

Will do, cheers :)

I'll update this thread if I find anything untoward in terms of iTunes.

Which Cross version are you using?
Which OS?
Please tell some more on anything that does work (MIDI, sound).. unless neither works.

Only use USB 2, at least untill it works. The controller likely is USB 1.1 which isnt default support by all USB3 hosts.

Don't connect a USB powered device (other than mouse/keyboard/memstick) to exclude power issue.

Have you tried using ASIO4ALL as sound driver?

Hi guys, need some help too. Just bought my 9 yr old Autistic son, who is mad to be a DJ, the Envivo USB DJ controller second hand with cable but didn't realise I'd need a CD to install. can anyone help re a download version etc? I know I'm a technophobe. I'm trying to sort it out before he comes home tomorrow from respite care!!!! Thanks Woody

If you register the license key that's at the cd-sleeve in your user profile you can download a version from the downloads section.

If you are willing to spend a little more money you could consider purchasing the 'Cross DJ' version. It has the benefit of being able to use the software without the controller having to be connected. You can change this anytime as it can use the same collection as the Cross LE version.

If your son has experience with 'home' devices to create music, please inform him that DJ equipment/software has some differences in the way it works. Takes a little time to get familiar, but once you know it it 's a walk in the park.

Hi,
first time poster here, just got a second hand Envivo 1274, and cannot seem to get the downloaded software to open up!

I am a technophobe and always have difficulty with these kinds of things, and my usual helper is not available, so any assistance would be brilliant!

this is the link a lady from tech support sent me to download PO-1274 CD.zip

https://onedrive.live.com/?id=136922678 ... 678F42A336

With the advice to unzip it - not sure how to do this tbh.

I'm running Ubuntu mate, and have a horrible suspicion this driver is not suitable for my system, is that correct? Or is there a workaround?

Please formulate any replies as if speaking to a complete beginner, many thanks,

Jim

The Cross software has been bundled with the controller by the manufacturer of the envivo. So basically this issue is not about the Cross software and we can't solve it for you.

That being clearified, the Cross software is is only Win or Mac. So even when you get the controller to work with your system you will not be able to use the Cross software with your system.

In case you somehow noticed a remark on Cross Linux: This never passed the Beta phase. The only linux based software nowadays is for Android...
