Also, since Daniel said one posting about thoughts...

Quit being elitist about your tracks! There are literally millions of tracks coming out per year. If you are going to lose your spot as a local club DJ because another DJ peeped few tracks that were your "diamonds", you probably should lose your spot. Also, every international DJ has every one of their tracks posted online, with the remix name, and guess what, they are still international! It's all here http://www.1001tracklists.com/, and it's not killing anyones career, most likely the opposite.

Also, I peep tracks all the time. Not to find the track so I can play it, but so I can remember the artist or who did the remix so I can look out for future stuff by them, or check out other stuff they did. Sometimes people are looking at your track not to copy you, but to promote the artists that should be promoted. In fact, if someone is looking at your tracks, maybe you should take it as a compliment, not as an insult. If a music lover comes up and specifically asks what a song is, that means you improved their collection, which means you are doing your job.

And this is a question to those who hide their tracks. What do you do when you have to post a mix online? Do you skip the tracks that you don't want anyone to know about, or do you just not post tracklists to your mixes?

Shazam and Soundhound recognize most official (not super underground) tracks anyways.

Anyways, it might not be a major change, but if it is so minor, why not get it done along with the other updates?

The point is there might be a huge database of tracks released everyday, but for someone to peep in and get the names from our hard work of sitting up and downloading after paying money isn't the answer. Don't you think each one is supposed to get benefited from their own work and not peeping into other's and getting easy access to tracks?? Put yourselves in that situation!

Again, It might not be as important as other updates as mentioned by few other's… in that case why does Serato and Traktor have it?

Pls dnt mention that MV is trying to be different from its competitors but try to supersede them.

I am sure you guys have a research team going thru in and out of your competitors software.

Kindly consider…

Thanks

Sean

Every code change and feature added takes up someones time. Time that could be spent making the most amazing feature you could ever dream of, is now wasted making sure that you can hide a track name from someone who just wants to add a track to his workout playlist.

repeatedly I get the impression that you think I'm not a professional DJ, or that any of the devs, moderators, or users are not professional DJs either. I spend upwards of several thousands of dollars on music and videos every year. In the end, it makes no difference if the person gets the track name from me, or from shazam, or from youtube, cause they are going to purchase or steal it regardless of if you give them the name or not.

Doesn't matter why they have it, it only matters why MixVibes doesn't. If it would benefit the software, then it will be implemented, as is the case with all other suggested ideas. If it's not added to the feature set, then it's not important enough to be added. It's not a personal attack on you, or your needs in DJ software, just not important enough to add to the software. Similar to this survey, the one for a Linux version was in favor of adding that flavor of Cross, and it made the list of improvements.

I do not know why you get the impression that I am involving you in every topic I post!

I am addressing it generally to Mixvibes… so chill

Besides I do not think there is anything wrong in voicing out your opinion, or do I get the impression that MV is dominated by certain people's opinion?

Whatever is going on at MV, I think the forum exists for users to voice out their opinions/ suggestions/ technical difficulties!! In that case DJ Phaidon, I have voiced out so many suggestions which Mixvibes have already implemented or taking time to do so.

I am absolutely tired of explaining myself and being misunderstood constantly. All I am trying to say is… WHY MAKE THE STEALERS LIFE EASY?? If there are other sources to take stuff from why make it easy for them to take it in the first place… Like someone else mentioned How much can Shazam or SoundHound do their thing, Are their databases capable of tracking even the most underground track?? anyways… I am pretty much over and done with this topic. I have officially exhausted myself.

Thanks

Sean

dont think phaidon makes it personal. its a mather of getting pro and cons. every feature needs to be a general benefit to the product. features mean settongs. settings mean trouble. would really be frustrated if I cant see instantly what I have playing. I cant figure out what it would contribute to your commercial value. and my prima job is in determining total enterprise risk profiles.

U would obviously know what track you throw in cause it would be mentioned in the browser just not on the decks. Besides if one could make it as a clickable button next to the deck, an option to hide or unhide the track name would be appropriate. so one can choose if one wants the track name viewed or not… Which is what I am trying to convey.
