Colorblind mode?

Hello fellow DJs and MV crew, I just tried the new Cross3.0, and while it looks really fancy, I'm having a huge problem with the waveforms compared to previous versions.

I'm colorblind and I almost can't see the waveforms. I'm having trouble with the peak view markers too. Simply put, there is too much color for me, and it all looks very confusing. Is there a way I can fix that? Or maybe a colorblind mode in the starting blocks? I've tried the 3 differents waveform styles available, and it's all the same.

In the meantime, I'll stick to 2.6, which isn't much of a hassle since I don't use video.

Thanks.

HI Matarael,

Could you give me more details about what you can and what you can't see actually in Cross? I'm not familiar with Colorblindness at all and do not really know what could make Cross uncomfortable for you.

Thanks,

Cheers,

Sorry to answer so late, I didn't check the forums lately.

Here's a screenshot to illustrate what I say.

I used the legacy color set, since it is the one I see the best. There are too much colors for me on the other settings.

So, for me, the thoughest is to "decipher" the waveforms. They were quite simple in 2.6, allowing me to instantly see a little break for example (white dots on the screenshot). On 3.0, these are a lot harder to see.

Same for the real breaks (red lines on the screenshot). If I didn't the know the track, I'd say there is a drum pattern playing, while it's pretty clear on the 2.6 one that there isn't much going on.

I also have some troubles with beat markers, but it's just that they're slimmer in 3.0, but I think it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Overall, I feel like there is a lot of stuff that have been added to the waveforms (mainly all the white tones in the screenshot), that only makes the whole thing messy and confusing. I'm only talking about efficiency here, like being able to gather the most essential informations in a glance, not aesthetics (esthetics?).

I hope this was helpful, don't hesitate to ask me if you need more specific details. Cheers MV crew :)
