Hercules RMX Configured and Everything but Won't Work

Ok as weird as this seems just try to help. Ok so I struggled through the process of getting my RMX to show up as a Sound card instead of a speaker and I thought I was finally ready to mix. I then went to MIDI tab and ensured that the controller was actually being recognized and it was. But, I go into the main screen, where the actual music plays, and the controller couldn't do anything I have to control everything via my laptop which makes my controller a waste. I need the controller to work in order to mix properly, is there any way that anybody can help diagnose this strange problem? I can't find a reason things aren't working.

If no one can help, is there a way I can get a refund because this software is giving me nothing but problems just setting it up.

you say the controller is being reconized ,,as in having a tab for it in MIDI preferences,, also did you check that the rmx MIDI map is selected ,, and in the rmx MIDI tab is it a green on line ,,,, just trying to confirm the obvious is not overlooked

Have you got the latest Driver package installed?

If not download and install

Just done a little guide,

First open up the Hercules Control Panel (Little record symbol down near your sysytem clock)

Click on ASIO tab and set to ASIO (click on ASIO Blue/Green dot)

Open Cross, and go to Preference > Audio tab, and set to this

You should choose "Hercules DJ Consoles RMX ASIO" from the sound card drop down.

Next, go to the MIDI Tab and choose "Hercules Console RMX" from the MIDI list.

(I use my own mapping for my 4-mx)

Next, (optional) move a slider or press a button. If the tab goes green then Cross is reading the MIDI signal (or something like that )

After this you can close Preferences and should be ready to rock 'n' roll

Remember to always use the same USB port for your RMX.

Hiya

Having the same/similar issue with setting up on a new HP Laptop.

The Hercules control panel has ASIO selected:



With this Audio I'm getting sound through the external amp & speakers but no reaction from the Hercules RMX:



When I try to switch to Hercules RMX ASIO I'm getting this error:



In the MIDI tab the controller the is 'online', highlighted yet remains locked:



I'm using a powered hub between the Hercules & Laptop

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated

Have you got the latest Hercules Driver Package installed?

If not, download and install as it has Windows 10 support

in the MIDI tab the locked symbol indicates that the mapp is locked for editing ,,, this doesnt say its not in use ,,by selecting this map and on line indicated ,,when operating a control/command from controller the green on line indication will blink ,,

you have Cross DJ le ,, this software is a combination hardware/software bundel ,, is this the controller used in the software ,,or are you useing a Cross DJ version of the software ,, so as to remind you to regerster this software in the fourm ,,as to be able to update the software when there avaible ,,

Yep first thing I did. And uninstalled & reinstalled today when I got the powered hub. Prior to that the laptop didn't recognise the existence of the Hercules…
