Help with outputs

Hi guys i'm new on here and i'm having trouble with my controller. I made the mistake of buying a controller with no soundcard built in so i bought a headphone adaptor which plugs into the usb on my laptop and i can plug my headphones into it. Only problem is i can't get the sound to come out seperately when i try to preview a track. The track that is playing now comes out of the same place as the preview does but i want the preview to come out of the headphones and the track to come out of the other jack to the speakers, any ideas how to change that? Thanks in advance

  :?: :?: :?:
does your os see the sound card in the audio panel ,,
can you use it to run other software
if yes then the possibilities of using asio4all are good ,,
if on a mac o s ,,will have to find the link to give you info to adderate the second sc to wiork with you onboard sc ,,
 now kindly regerster on the fourm for full benifits ,,and welcome

Im using Cross DJ LE 2.5.0. Not sure about that I'll have a look and see if it comes up in the audio panel. Also the serial number comes up as invalid?
Thanks for your help so far.

 if the usb sc is reconized by win audio panel ,, you have a good chance of being able to use asio4all ,, google it ,,read and download the instructions and then download the software ,, by reading the instructions you will be familiar on how to set it up ,, any help and :?: :?: can be answered ,, not the best option but viable ,,
again welcome

Ok cool thank you :) Another problem i'm having now is that all the tracks i have are coming up with an X beside them and it says 'can't load track:file not found' even though i have played them before and they worked fine.
