yes think so ,,you will need it to access the dowmload section ,in case there is a driver you might need ,,

why do you need the U-Mix 44...why don't you use the cdj 850 in HID and use the cdj 850 as a sound card in Cross

Thanks for advice wazza,i have tried this but cant get no sound, there seems to be no info about this in the user manual connecting to cdjs,in video on u tube it says just plug in and go,this is not the case for me. i am now concentrating on the HID set up again as this seems closet to working, desperate to play now ! No sound but tracks are loading in this set up,although player b seems to be wizzing threw real fast, its close but no cigar !

Hey,
I'm running often the CDJ2000Nexus in HID with Cross and it is working fine. Just install the Pioneer Audio Driver, connect both Pioneers to the Notebook and start Cross. Than Setup the Audio Routine to ASIO Pioneer and select Player 1 for DECK A and the other for B. Finish. You should get Sound from the CDJ to your mixer.
I'm currently only running the DJM900Nexus with Cross now as soundcard and it is also running out of the box with nice Sound.
and please Register your Cross license here on the Forum! otherwise we are not allowed to help and you are not allowed to download the newest Version.
regards Christian

I have been asked to post the solution to my problem so here goes. I by passed HID to use an audio interface, but this was no better so returning to HID set up i could not find the Pioneer Aiso driver that i had installed,i kept reinstalling it and eventually it showed up in Cross, problem solved so i thought but started getting drop outs,i increased the buffer size to max in the Pioneer driver ( The Cross buffer wont move when Pioneer is connected.) Everything seemed fine and working even my speakers came alive, but then after every ten minutes of playing it freezes and comes up "Cross exe" which i believe is another driver problem message. After just paying £1ooo for a new lap top i am being told by a driver software i have 21 out of date drivers!!! Unbelievable! i have now updated all drivers, turned off internet, spyware, and firewall. Have yet to test. Thanks to all who take time out to answer these posts, it is appreciated.
