I've updated my Cross to 3.0 RC version! ... Again, the best DJ software version i've EVER had before!

- Video samples = briljant!
- Video preview on top = less player space for 4 decks compared with the video plugin but still very nice because you can adjust the size of the preview screens.
- Nexus waveforms make me feel like working with my pioneers CDJ2000
- easy button on the top to display video or not, ... nice.
- master video brightness, ... nice feature
- image titler, ... works very fine and VERY useful!!! nice feature
- text titler, ... works fine to make some presets!!! nice feature
- auto crossfader, it goes from A to B but it doesn't start playing the track when you use auto crossfader. Maybe that would be a nice feature.
- ...

It's again, the best update i've every seen on DJ software! I'm only wondering, i'm using HID control with my Pioneer Nexus 2000 setup so i think i have to find another MIDI controller just to use faders, FX1, FX2, video mixing, etc. Any suggestions?

Why don't you MIDI map some un-used buttons and knobs on your mixer to do the Efx in Cross


You can try to MIDI map the audio Efx on your mixer to do video and audio at the same time

I'm running the 3.0 version on a Mac Mini which is not connected to my DJ setup, ... therefor i use a Macbook but i'm still running in test mode.

But, ... i've tried Cross Remote with the effects and even that works very nice!

I will try to use my DJM2000NXS MIDI screen to make some settings for Cross but those touch screen buttons are limited on the Pioneer DJM2000NXS because i can't add titles to the buttons so i still have to remember the settings. ... So i would prefer another app to make MIDI settings, ... and i already miss the sample pads from iPad Cross.

... I think i would need to use more than one iPad?!!

The Pioneer ddj sp1 is very good with mixvibes Cross

The pads on the ddj sp1 are dope for video sampler and the Efx are working with the knob and buttons.....even slip- mode is MIDI map to the slip on the ddj sp1


For me the the best MIDI controller I have used for Cross sampler and Efx is my Roland mc 808 groovebox sampler...the thing I can do on the 808 still blow my mind

when i put it on the Pioneer CDJ 2000
it connects... when i push on the link... but the Pioneer dont find the Cross DJ
its very very strange i dont understand.
its not the same thing like i see on the movies on youtube.

i tried on a CDJ 900 and a CDJ 2000
I have a macbook air , can you please help me out

HID support is with 'Cross'. Not with 'Cross DJ'
