Problems with mixer

Postby ChazGaz on 17 Oct 2013, 01:07

Hey guys,

Just joined so I'm not too sure if i'm posting this in the right place. Anyway, I have just purchased Cross DJ in the hope that it will go well with my CDJ 850s. Everything was going great and I was very impressed with the connectivity between the two until I realised that it was only coming out of one channel on my mixer (DJM 700) so I couldn't actually switch between songs unless I used the faders on the software.

I'm guessing this is an output routing problem but i'm not the best when it comes to that so any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Charles.

Welcome to the mixvibes forums..
Yes .....check your audio routing...must be set to external mixer mode ...not internal mixer more
And if your are on a p.c your need to run the Pioneer ASIO driver
If on the mac ,you need to run the aggregate device

Thanks.

I have only setup hid MIDI once for a friend to test Cross on some cdj900 on a mac

Here is how to setup
http://support.Apple.com/kb/HT3956

After you have setup your mac aggregate audio so Cross can see the two CDs 850 as output 1&2 and outputs 3&4

And this vid will show you how to setup a sound card for external mixer mode....
http://thedjpodcast.com/episodes/crossdj-soundcard/

You will have set The drop down box ,where you choose you sound card .....choose the mac aggregate audio device as the sound card
And set up outputs 1&2 and 3&4 for the two CDs

Plug they two CDj into the mac by USB.,.Set the CDs 850 to p.c mode
,.,check to see if you are running the right firmware inside your CDj 850
