BPM Show - Birmingham NEC

Postby deanobirko on 16 Sep 2013, 14:12

Did'nt see a single thing from Mixvibes there....

The VirtualDJ Stand was massive and they were using the basic skin on a massive monitor doing a live mix.

It looked awful.

Was expecting the MV team to at least have a stall demoing their superior software? Nothing.

They were using an American Audio branding of their VDJ Software and it looked like a toy. Ive used VDJ 7 extensively before getting MV and VDJ 7 is a good bit of kit, especially for ease of use but the one they were demo'ing looked like Atomix (From 2002). Absolutely shocking.

People were buying it though, saw everyone walking around with bits of kit from Numark and American Audio, branded with VDJ.

Was looking for a MV stand there to show my support but was nowhere to be found. If you would have had the Control Pro 2 and two timecode vinyls, with a DJ showing what it could do, you would have sold potentially 100's of the units and software packages.

The Rane store was amazing, but so expensive. You could get a bigger market share with ease.
