The first problem is that you are shouting by writing in capital letters...

Anyway, are you talking of the "trim" knob?

I don't have any problems with Gain/Trim been using Cross 2.5 for 6 gigs and everything works as it should. So we might need more info on what your exact problem is

  Cross free has limitations ,, but still will give a impression of the software ,, link for software comparsion is posted ,,
http://www.mixvibes.com/content/product ... comparison

there are some postings on /about the hid compatiability of the Pioneer product and its new mapping ,, hopefully some of the users of this hardware will post some reviews ,here for you

 Cross DJ will only use the MIDI control of that unit ,, for time code control and hid ,you will need Cross

Cross and DDJ SX have been the center of my gigs for my last 19 gig each being 4+ hours and has not once caused my any problems preforming live. I highly recommend it I've used my DDJ SX with SeratoDJ VDJ and Traktor but Cross is just a perfect match for me

Have you tried turning off the limiter, maybe track gain analysis also has something too do with it (Not sure on that one), the gain is slower to respond if the limiter is active, and sometimes you have to turn the gain down and back up before you bring your track in to kind of reset it, as it does seem to get lost on times when limiter is active, almost like its sticking /not responding, if you mess about you will see what I mean, why I don't use the limiter, you loose quality of your sound and the limiter will fight against your gains and EQ that is a fact. maybe that is your issue, as it will be evident if you use the limiter and are pushing all your Levels quite hot.

I have the ddjsx and its a lot better to respond without the limiter in Cross active, although something I have noticed, it is still not 100% although better, i do get the feeling the limiter is still trying to kick in, although no where near as much, that I am still trying to suss out myself. maybe its just me, or the Channel Led are slow to respond maybe (Their is something not quite wright .But all the same without the limiter you will see some improvement, overall its all okay, nothing that cant be worked around, with a good pair of ears and practice with the headphone monitoring
