Importing a Third Party Playlist

Hi All,

I had all my tracks scanned with Relordbox, along with the Keys (approx 3000). When the import was completed, the following was noticed;

1) All my tracks in Rekordbox indicating VBR are blank Bit rate in Cross 2.3.1
2) All my Keys are not showing in Cross 2.3.1
3) I tried Reloading all the Tags, and still no luck

Have i missed something? Have not tried it on Cross 2.4RC yet.

Inputs are appreciated. ;)

What does the info pane is saying ?

2) All my Keys are not showing in Cross 2.3.1

Do you display the key column ? are you sure the key is written into the tags or the XML from RKB ?

The Info pane is blank, nothing is written.

Ok i just noticed the following. when i go into my music folder and right click on the track and go to properties, the "initial Key" is blank. But when i open up the .xml file, the keys are present on all tracks.

Cross does not analyse tracks to find their keys, yet.

Ok here are some more indepth anwsers :
- Rekordbox didn't have the key analyze when we did the import for Cross
- VBR are not written into the XML, they are written with a bitrate=0

So they're not bug but misfeatures, Cross for not reading key and RKB for not writing the VBR status into the XML.

It's too late to add anything on the 2.4

So i guess this will be implemented on the next update? In the meantime is there another solution to get "keys' into Cross?

Thank you
