Forgive me, I must say firstly I am not a DJ, I am a photographer working and studying with The Manchester college. I'm just doing a bit of research as part of a project we are looking at and I just wanted general opinions on an idea for an application that could be developed with underground music in mind.
If an app for a smart phone could be developed to help a person follow particular DJs and even help search particular songs so that they can be tracked and people can know where they are more likely to hear that particular song (given this will require frequent activity and a fairly established community of DJs and fans) - Do you think this would work and would you purchase something like this?
If your struggling to understand the idea, just think of it like a kind of Facebook for the underground music community where people would tag songs instead of pictures.
I would be really really greatfull for any feedback I can return to work on for my research.
