so i was just wondering what kinda headphones you guys use? didnt see any posts about headphones at first 3pages and imo they deserve more credit!!! :3

so tell me what are the most important things to check before buying headphones? or why you love your headphones? (i know you do) and ofc if you have something to say about someones elses headphones i'm sure they would like to hear your opinion :)

i currently have ReLoop RHP-10 and i chose these for my christmas present for the reason i heard these are close to pioneers hdj-1000
I love the gold-plating on these :D (found out after i bought these) and the fact that these are light but still dont feel too much plastic-like

At the moment I don't use headphones. I'm using earphones: Sennheiser CX-200. It is not expensive, sturdy cable, but it is quite flimsy, and get stuck in stuff :D All in all nice earphones, beautiful bass, and good for monitoring and cueing in loud situations, they dempen the sound very well.
It also has a little clip on it's cable, where you can clip up any side of the eraphones, so they don't hang all over the place, when you use one of them.

I don't really go in for really expensive headphones.

At the moment I have two pairs, one for travelling/working - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SoundMagic-PL30 ... B0030ZERIS. I really like the sound of these and they give pretty good isolation to outside noise. Took a while to get used to the over the ear style though.

For DJing, as a Christmas present I was given these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-RP-DJ ... 771&sr=1-3. I have to say that for the price they are pretty amazing. Downside is the sound leakage but for how I use them they are perfect.

I have a pair of Sennheisser HD25 SP2's

HD_25-SP_II_.jpg

I've had the same pair since 1997. I've changed the Ear padding a few times and the cable a couple of times but they have never let me down.

Although they don't cover your whole ear like a lot of modern headphones do now, the sound and Bass they produce is still very good.

I have been told that the newer models of Sennhiesser are not up to the build standard as they were a few years ago, as they are now built in Asia somewhere.

Iuse a pair of Sony MDR XD200. Superb value for money - they're lightweight, comfortable, and have a great sound, in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of in-ear headphones, or ones that just sit over the ear - these are full-sized headphones that cover the whole ear. So comfortable I can (and do) wear them for hours at a time.

They are great at cancelling out ambient and background noise too. Love 'em!

Since a few weeks I have also an Pioneer HDJ-500 RED model got with my Pios and I must say they are okay but the sound from the akg is better

BUt the pio has better and longer cables.

I have worn Sennheiser for years until I have tested Shure - brilliant sound and better filter of club sounds and noises! Preferred them since then: Shure SRH 840
