Hi, i am trying to MIDI map my cdj700s with mixvibes but for some reason all of the controls on the cdjs work but the display does not show the song name etc and the buttons are not lit up, the song still plays through the cdjs though when the input is via my mac though. Does anyone know what i can do to resolve this problem?
Thanks

The text feedback is tricky and only a few units are supported - mostly denon.

The lights can be programmed, but right now it requires hand coding the XML file to make them work. It's actually easier than it sounds... I've got a mapping for the M-Audio Xponent and once you get your head wrapped around it, it's just a matter of sitting down and doing it.

On a side note, how do you like the CDJ700's? They look eerily like the Pioneer stuff... :)

Ok thanks.
Yeah they have been criticised for copying the Pioneer design and the are very similar just with a lower price tag but i like them a lot!

If you want to see how to map the lights you can pull up the Xponent mapping I've done to see. It's 'sort of' documented so you won't be flying 100% blind.

You'll need to look at the MIDI map for the CDJ700's lights but it shouldn't be too difficult.

The text will be a little more difficult... ok, depending on the specifics, a LOT more difficult. ;) You would have to translate the current output to match up with what the 700's are expecting...
