Hi MixVibes Community,

my Notebook is a little bit outdated and need to be upgraded
If anyone sells an Intel T7600, T7400 or another CPU with 667 FSB please reply! This wouldt be really nice!

Hey,

you want to upgrade your CPU on the laptop? I would be carefull about this because most of the CPUs are printed to the mainboard so it can't be changed.
Also you have to check if the higher CPU models can work with that board. That means you have to check if the cooling is enough and so on.
Has the laptop a TPM chip?

Cool, dass du dir Gadanken deswegen machst.
Diese sind auch berechtigt, ich habe nämlich schon einen erfolglosen Aufrüstversuch hinter mir.
Es war ein T6600, der jedoch (höchstwahrscheinlich aufgrund des 800er FSB) nicht bootete. Ein Kollege gab mir aber neulich seinen T7400 zum testen. Er bootete Problemlos.
Einen Belastungstest, um evtl Hitzeprobleme auszuschließen, konnte ich zeitlich leider nicht machen.
Die totale Leistungsaufnahme beider CPUs liegt bei 34W und wird deshalb hoffentlich keine Probleme machen.

Okay wenn die gleiche Aufnahme haben sollte das keine Probleme machen. Was ist das denn für nen Hersteller bzw Modell vom Notebook weil die ich hier habe (Business Modelle) haben keine austauschbaren CPUs, die sind fest auf das Mainboard geprinted. (Hat den Grund bei viel wackeln und Transport kann kein Wackelkontakt entstehen.

Und weiterhin viel Spaß mit der neuen CPU und ebenfalls ein schönes Restwochenende.

Ich hab ja leider noch keine neue CPU
Mein Kollege will seinen T740 ja nich rausrücken

I'm also interested in this, since I need the same type CPU's.

These Txxxx and Pxxxx mainly use the BGA479, PGA478 socket.

I have the same socket, but would be nice to upgrade.

What CPU do you need? If you have FSB 800Mhz, you can get the T6600 which was not compatible with my Laptop

WTF is this FSB thing in practical, and how can I determain that the CPU I wanna use is compatible with my motherboard FSB-wise?
