Few questions

Am upgrading my entire rig to go into vj'ing from a cd based system

1. Is Vfx compatible with the Pioneer gear (above)

2. Is there any other gear that can do the same job, being robust, but a little cheaper

3. What motherboard...... (rugged)sabertooth etc

4 What processor...... intel AMD

5 Ram, hard-drive, heat exchange systems, etc

Any other assistance would be great

Cheers

Johnny

Cross includes MIDI files for these Pioneer's product:

Cdj 350
Cdj 400
Cdj 850
Cdj 900
Cdj 2000
Mep 7000
DDj Ergo

I think Vfx includes these too.

Hope this will help

HID Protocol

HID Protocol makes controlling more precise and richer than MIDI (though still possible). Vfx 1.3 is fully integrated and premapped for Pioneer CDJ 900 and 2000, simply “plug and play”. HID protocol on Vfx 1.3 offers ultra-precise controls, including jog wheel movement, loops, pitch bend and much more with the same genuine CDJ behavior and reactivity. LCD screens on CDJ players can display scrollable media base, artworks or waveforms. Pioneer CDJ 900 and 2000 users will be able to smoothly enjoy the creative power of Vfx 1.3.
