I started this to share techniques and experience with Cross FX and combinations.

My favourite effect: ROLL - you can remix and have fun with dubstep and DnB tunes, I love it. You just need to feel the beat :)

My favourite combination: BLISS-ECHO

I like to use roll + hi-pass filter.

Just tried out your bliss + echo combination and it sounds great, thank you for the tip.

I always find Roll quite a difficult one to get right, but I've been experimenting a bit - I think I'm getting better. I always think it's one of the more "risky" effects - get it wrong and it sounds awful!

What does filter + low-pass sound like!?

I got used to it. It doesn't suite all the tracks, but it can be done. You just have to count the beats and press roll on a drum or percussion, and it's nice.

Dubstep and DnB likes roll effect pretty much. (only try to use the second half of the knob which is 1 beat, half beat, 1/4, and 1/8 on one side.

So the amount knob anywhere over halfway? When I've experimented with it, the depth knob seemed to affect the volume of the playing track the effect was being used on. Under halfway it seemed to lessen the volume.

Well the roll is fine in all way, I like both the single and the bidimensional ones.
I can do a demo about it.
