24/192 ... what?

kHz, Bit, kbps,... Are you aware of what you are looking for?

CD music is 16 bit and 44.1 kGz sample rate. HQ music (DVD-A, SACD, etc) is 24 bit 48, 96, 192 kGz sample rate, usually written 24/96 or 24/192. Players, which can play this music are winamp, foobar and wmp with plugin. Quality of such players is not enough with comparison of DVD-players. MixVibes quality is better, but it can't play music 24/192. So it is interesting what are such soft players exist?

btw what sound-system do you have to hear a difference between those formats, tbh anything above 24bit/48Khz i dont hear a difference anymore.

kGz? kGHz?

k = 10³
G = 10⁹

kG = 10¹² -> WOW! Extremely accurat samples :D

The post above is just kidding - don't mind ;)

In fact I am with j-kut: There is almost no chance to hear a difference between both formats. If you want you can use 16Bit wav files which are almost the best you can grab digitally AND from what I know this is the only format you can buy anywhere. Otherwise I would recommend 320kbit/s MP3 or Flac!
