Reloop iQ 2 MIDI - Want a mapping?

Hey guys.

Since I got to a pretty bad dead end with the Contour, I got a Reloop iQ 2 MIDI mixer, which is sooooooo awsome.

It also works as a MIDI controller.

I'll try to get a mapping done. Need fingers CROSSed for me :)

Anyone interested in a mapping to this mixer?

If you don't know this, see the details here:

Hi
I got a good deal on Contour so I bought one. Did you experience problems mapping Cross to Contour ? I'm new to CrossDJ and tried to do some mapping which was a pain in the a** ! Do you happen to have any Contour mapping files left or provide helpful info how to map the basic functions correctly ? cheers

Maybe I have one. I made a buch of them , but only finished one :D DOn't remember which one.

But I can give you tips.
Contour is easy to map, and nice to use.

But make sure you update the firmware before anything.

EDIT: do you have 2 contours?

Actually yes, both the controller and interface (which I will get today). Will this give me more headache?

No. You actually can make only one mappingto control both controllers, by mapping DeckA and Sampler C, to channels "a" and "b" on the controler, and the other two, to "c" and "d", and just select them on the controllers.

I will give you pieces of code that you can use, in your stuff.

Man, that would rock! I'm kind of lost with these mapping of MIDI note commands as the Contour sends mostly notes and not CC...

Traktor worked straight out the box but it's no match for Cross DJ ! :D

Traktor worked because of the mapping already was alvailable.

Contour actually send a lot of CC: jogwheel, track selector, the 4 encoders on the top section, every knob, and fader, the loop encoders are all CC.

I find it weird that the included presets are of no practical help with Contour even a simple preset for the filter knob won't do the job properly. Before Contour I tried a MIDI keyboard with control knobs and that worked straight away. Is there any general guide available for MIDI mapping? the learning curve is kinda steep to me...

Got a surprise extra gig this week and have to use my secondary/home setup of Reloop Contours (hopefully with Mixvibes  ). Now I got a couple of days to learn some mapping. Are there any general guides or explanations how to tweak or edit CrossDJ MIDI presets ? only a couple of preset functions seem to work straight away for the Contour while most need some heavy editing. How do you people achieve it? I have tried looking at the Contour MIDI values using MidiOX but as I haven't yet had much time on my hands I've gotten practically nowhere.

Have you ever looked into the COntour manual? :D
