U-Mix Control Pro - Standalone Mixer?

Postby Errortrax on 12 Jan 2012, 13:07

Hi all,

Quick question regarding the U-Mix Control Pro, which i'm looking into buying...

It says in the specs: "Regular vinyl/CD: plug in your vinyl or CD players to the controller’s built-in soundcard and play your traditional vinyl and CD records using the Bypass/through mode (line-input)."

Does this mean that the controller can be used like a standalone analogue mixer, without any computer connected? Is this where you would use a PSU to power it?

Thx for clarifying!

Rgrds,

E.

Thx for the quick replies!

Now going further, i happen to own the NI Audio 4 DJ with 2 In's and 2 Out's... So since the Control Pro, with its integrated soundcard, can not be used standalone without a computer anyway, what would be the advantage(s) of the Control Pro over the Control 2 + the NI Audio 4 DJ? Wouldn't the Control Pro be overkill?

Thx for enlighting me ;)
