Hi guys!

I'm planning to get the following thing.

Lenovo IdeaPad V470

CPU - Intel Core i3-2330M 2.2GHz, Sandy Bridge
RAM - 6GB DDR3
HDD - 500GB 7200rpm
VGA - nVidia GeForce GT520M 1GB DDR3
LCD - 14,1" wide 1366 x 768 HD LED

What do you think of this setup. I'll use it only DJing to make it Copyright OK.

I exspecially like to hear experinces from the i3-2330M CPU.

The reasons I want to get this:
- only 32 cm wide (fit everywhere)
- 7200rpm fast HDD
- Full aluminium casing

So feel free to write opinions :)

HANDS AWAY!!!!! Sandy Bridge makes a lot of trouble at a lot of user's hardware except you are using a USB 2.0 audio interface!

USB 2.0 is used, I won't use 1.1, or 3.0.

But, this makes a consideration...

These are the main reasons I ask these here. :)

I'll use a U-Mix 44, wich is 2.0, and I got up to date drivers.

BTW I plan to use 64bit Win7, I'm not so experineced with it, so...

It will be a 1-2month plan to get me a new Laptop, so I'll take my time makin' decisions.

The hard part is size, that is why I looked at this Lenovo series...

The U-Mix44 is usb1.1, so probably not such a wise choice.

But the 2330m makes some good performance, i´m really happy with it now. absolutely no trouble in my 13" vaio, i can stress it for hours and it doesnt clock down!

If you dont necessarily need a new notebook: http://www.vb-computers.de/product_info ... 160GB.html

new notebooks you will have a hard time finding something thats not sandy-bridge. btw the v470 doesnt get the best reviews:
http://www.notebookcheck.com/Lenovo-Ide ... 842.0.html

If i were you, i´d go for something like this one http://www.amazon.de/Acer-Aspire-3750-2 ... 63&sr=1-25
and spend what´s left on a new soundcard.

Not the mainboard, the audio interface has to be USB 2.0 and that support very less interfaces.

I doubt that the U-Mix 44 is a USB 2.0 audio interface. If the message "This device can be used with more power" does not appear does not automatically mean it is USB 2.0 ;)

Well, I don't know.
Most notebooks are with Sandy Bridge CPU-s. I can choos an AMD CPU but I heared that those are not that good either.

I'll give this config a shot.
