  welcome to mix vibes the product page has comparison of software and hard ware , have to check there,,,one thing i do know you will need a mulituple channel sc like the sc on the product page , there is no sc installed like in the U-Mix Control Pro....other than monetery considerations, need to have a idea what you want to accomplish, to best give suggestion :?: :?: no matter what the choice please regerster your software when you get it :!: :!: welcome again

just looked on product page the control 2 is just the MIDI controller ,your sound card set up gives you the monitoring section, un like the control pro that has the sc incorpated in to it

The UMC2 has no audio interface and therefore you won't find a soundport anywhere.

  simple one channel out for use, :?: :?: need to give more info for us to understand and give suggestions as to possible set ups  i use the home 7 sound doggle that came with home software.. have to use asio4all to add both sc (internal sc, usb sc) to use with the software,, not the best solution,,,kevmav had posted a link to a multi channel usb sc ,rather inexpensive that works for him,,,you wind up having latency issues and sound differences by using two different sc, some will work better than others.usable but not a perfect solution  the difference in price between the U-Mix Control Pro and the U-Mix 2 is about the price you would pay for a workable sc

 you will need a sound card setup to take advantage of the two stero signals of the software , one set for the master out ,one for the cue or pre fade listening, the easiest is to have a asio compatiable multi channel sc, another option is to have a usb sc that can be routed by asio4all to use as a cue monitor sc, along with the computer installed sc for the master out.can run into issues with this set up , in the product page it a multi channel sc with inputs and outputs to be able to use tc vinal to control the software  kev mav posted a link to a reasonable multi channel sc,,will put the name of the posting as sone as i find it again   more info on the particulars when needed  :cool:look in Cross tech support ,kev mev bumped the thread to the top,
