I'm not sure about everywhere else, but here in the UK, New Year's Eve is big...BIG!! Probably the biggest party night of the year, and for a DJ, it is the one night when we MUST be performing.

I've got a gig at a large sports club, alongside a live band, and I can't wait! I look forward to this time of year - it's my favourite night because people come out to have a good time no matter what! I guess I'm just a 'party animal'!

Okay - there is the money aspect too - New Year's Eve is probably the best paying night of the year too!

What are you guys going to be doing?

I've worked the last 4 New Years Eve and all have been good.

But this year I made the decision back in October to have the night off. I'll be spending the night and seeing in the New Year with my girlfriend and my best friends.

Got a gig in San Francisco, gonna play from 10 pm to 11 pm. yeah!!!!!

Whatever you guys are doing this New Year's Eve, I hope you all have a great time!

I'm at home now, chilling with a beer or two.

What a great night! They cancelled the band, because initially the ticket sales were poor, but it turned out better than expected. Loads of people turned up at 10.00pm and bought tickets at the door, and of I reaped the benefit, as I was hired on a deal.

The more people through the door - the more I got paid, and because there was no band to pay, I got paid GOOD!

Okay, money is not everything - in fact, I only DJ because I enjoy it. Money is never that important to me - but seeing people dancing and smiling IS! Everyone enjoyed it so much, but none more than me. It was a long night - from 7pm until 1.00am, but I'd do it all again tomorrow.

Just to let you guys know - Cross DJ 7.1 and my little DJ2GO controller worked brilliantly - and I got to do a great dance mix in between all the random stuff I was asked for. I'd recommend both to people in the future.

One last thing - we entered the raffle, and won! We are now the proud owners of a four foot tall stuffed St. Bernard dog toy, who is now sitting in our lounge, and of course, we've called him Beethoven.
