Any Mixmeister Users?

I'm not pushing another software, I'm not linked to them in any way, just interested to see if anyone else uses it. ;)

Sometimes I find it useful to have a mix already recorded and set up for a gig. Mixmeister is absolutely brilliant for doing that - even though it might seem like cheating!

I do really specialised mixes occasionally, that would be impossible to do on a live gig. DJ'ing might be my profession, but mixing withMixmeister is my hobby.

I've got a few mixes that I'm really proud of - I'll upload them and I'd be interested to hear other people's opinions.

Anyone else use it?

Hello
Yes I sometimes use Mixmeister, mainly when I do on request mixes that wouldn't fit in a public gig. It takes even less time to create a mix this way than to really play it ;-)

Sometimes I use it to do a mix, then export it to mp3. Useful for background mixes.

It IS a little too easy to use at a live gig though - takes the fun out of it! :)

I.m.o. it's not a real time mix software, I never tried it but I don't think it would give good résults, the adjustements you make to your mix with Mixmeister cannot be monitored without being played to the audience.

That's the point. You can create a perfect mix with this software, but only in a closed environment. I'd never use it live.

It is a great tool to create absolutely perfect mixes for background use, or for situations where a DJ is not needed, but where a good, mixed set is. ( I charge for these :))

It will never replace a great live performance, but it is a useful tool!
