First Gig With Cross DJ 1.7

I used my new setup on Friday, using a laptop, Cross DJ 1.7, hooked to the club's system using an external soundcard (yes, I decided to get one!)

The gig was a great success, and I even picked up a few very good bookings on the night.

Here's the interesting part: The club's fancy system, which I was just using to run karaoke, and the lighting, crashed. If I'd tried a reboot, I'd have plunged the room into darkness - not a good idea with 200 people in the room. Luckily, even though the PC locked up, the lighting, being a dmx system, kept it's last programmed settings and lasted the night.

The best part though, my little laptop, running Cross DJ 1.7, kept going without a single problem. In fact it was a pleasure to use, and has paid for itself in that first gig alone.

One very pleased customer - Kev :D

It wasn't just easy - it was great fun! I've used other software to do gigs and I used to spend too much time searching for tracks and wasting time wondering what would mix...

Cross DJ was such a great pleasure to use and the music library can be organised just as I like it.

Also, I've never come across a program that can mix and sync so accurately! I can't wait for my next gig now, as I've got some amazing mixes lined up! :D
