Controlling Cross delay BPM

I want to use just one deck for skratching with Cross, and I want to use the delay, how can I set the BPM for the FX? The beat is not playing through Cross, but I would like the FX to work with a constant BPM, right now it depends on the BPM Cross calculates from the movement of the records, which needless to say is completely random... and useless for my purposes.

Can this be done? I have to play on TV early in the morning so I would be veeery thankful for a quick response :D!

Ok this idea just came to me, maybe match bpm to the other track, im going to try in the morning, but that would defeat the purpose of using only one deck..:(
Cross does not let me tap the bpm for the scratch file that has just samples in it, why?
How can I type a value for BPM manually, and stop Cross from changing the FX BPM constantly`?

Hello,

my suggestion is to add a BPM to the ID3 Tag in your collection and use the 0% pitch. Would this solve your problem? So the effect knows the bpm?!

Cheers,

Steve

OMFG i wrote such stupid stuff, i cant sync because the skratch file does not have any BPM info to begin with.. so thats def not going to work.

Writing a fixed BPM would be a workaround, because then I would have to make a separate file for each track..
But I use one track where there are samples for each track of our live performance, that way I dont have to change tracks etc... I though that it would be nice if I had the option to use delay in a few spots (not much, because pre fader delays are almost totally useless for skratching) but seems that it cant be done :(
No biggie though because I want to buy an FX pedal or smth anyway, using Cross delay would just be until i get that.
But if there is a way I would still like to hear it.

You can tap the bpm for fx sync.

That was the first thing I tried but nothing happened. The BPM button was completely unresponsive. When i skratched the track faster the delay got faster and vice versa..
Does a track have to be playing at 0 pitch to tap the tempo or smth, or should I be able to tap tempo even if the deck is not playing?

Yes the tap is relative to the speed and you can tap with track not playing.
