when i scroll through my tunes on home 7 it keeps making a ding sound
can anyone help???

are you using Vista?
I know form DVS 7 that there was some sound problems too under vista. When you click on a song in the list there is a Ping! This is a warning-sound from windows. TO get this away you can disable any Windows-Sound. Than it should work without having those sounds.

When you want sounds on the computer because you use it also for normal work and home use then you can create a new soundprofile like Normal where everything is as you want and then you switch between No Sound and Sound when you use the software.

Alternative you can use also the Windows Mixer and set the Windows-Sound to volume 0. It often called System-Sounds or something else.

yeah im useing vista:( hey thanks very much for the help must try that also do u know how 2 get the MIDI settings to work ive got a korg nanokontroll which pre mapped in the software but dont know how 2 get it working???? any help would b great many thanks

Go to the korg homepage and download and install the MIDI driver. After the installation it should work (did over here ).

can anyone help im still having sound problems with home 7 on vista

what are these sound problems? some more details about it would help us. Like is it a Windows Sound or is the sound hanging and disturbing and so on.

have you disabled the windows sounds? I wrote this at the top of the thread. These pinging is an windows error sound. So disable the windows sounds and you will not get this sound.

You can disable all windows sounds by selecting no sound at the sound preferences at windows or go to the Windows Mixer and set the volume of "SYSTEM" to 0.
