Future plans for MixVibes' DJ apps

As I can read between the lines DVS (or is there something official I missed ?) will not be developed any further; and the new product for both OS platforms is Cross (isn't it?).

As many others I am highly interested to get some information about MixVibes' plans ;)

Although I love both apps and love their different approaches I do not believe that Cross could (and should!) replace DVS.

To me Cross is an easy to use app with basic functionality (Bravo!) and a pre set window layout... to my opinion any fx in the UI is too much, but that's personally.
With DVS I can do all the fancy things like skinning (including other graphics, colors, object dimensions...), scroll through a grid of album covers, use 4 players (never do this ;) ), use customizable fx, and so on.

I like the idea to have a plain and simple DJ app (Cross) for easy mixing (that avoids any "mistakes" by design) - and on the other hand to have a elaborated app (DVS) where I can realize every "crazy" thing... including a skin that could even crash the app while developing  > > > :D

My question: are there plans to stay with two DJ product lines covering different approaches :D :D ; or will solely Cross cover all DJ demands in the future  ?

Thank you all very much for any information.

P.S. I do not need video functionality and I do not like controller - except turntables ;) ; therefore I never will move to the Vfx package. But if the software (which seems to be a derivate of DVS (???)) is further developed, I would upgrade the software (... if it is sold stand-alone) and live with the video functionality overhead...

I am really looking forward to an answer from a mixvibes official in this thread. I do not want to disappoint you barrenfell but I do not think that the master plan will be announced in here ;) Nevertheless I will have an eye on thsi thread :)

Cheers,

Steve

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: means, you don't want to say anything :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: have no answer :?: :?: :?: guess that I'm the only one having "special" demands :?: :?: :?: :?:

...ok, then I was a bit unprecise. I don't want to know strategic secrets!!!

Will MixVibes burry an elaborated, stable, veeeeery flexible DJ app and point to Cross (which of course is also reliable) with very limited functionality and absolutely no options for customization?

Or will all functionality and flexibility be implemented into Cross?

This is not only an isolated MixVibes DVS issue; it is also important for all the users using OEM products like SPIN!
Reloop - as you surely know - has no answers for their users, since they are only paying fees (or have a skeleton agreement, or whatever... doesn't matter to me) and do no development. If you think it is not an important question for a MixVibes user, then just look at me as a SPIN! user ;)

Peace, thank you all

As much as I would love to joke around with you and say, "MV's being bought out by NI" or something else shockingly improbable, I'm curious to see what'll happen as well :)
