I've got no gig's this weekend (weekend off) and I've decided to update my gig laptop, which I normally do once a month.

Just ran the Windows update, and it's picked up Windows 7 Service Pack 1. I'm installing as I speak

I'm going to test it out with Cross once it's installed. If I have any problems I'll report back

The SP1 for W7 is installed over 1400MB big and should normaly have no performance issue.

I have this installed last week as an Microsoft Partner and it is working well on my system. I use it with DVS 7 and I have no problems.

Details to the Installation: It takes over 30 Minutes to install
Disk-Space round 1400MB
Donwload-Size: 550MB (32Bit), 925MB (64Bit)
Must restart ones

You need first a seperate update to run the SP1 update via the Update Function from Windwos.

Installed it yesterday and hope that it might solve an issue I have! Could not test it till now, just came back from soccer training

Well Steve, I've been messing around with Cross for about 2 hours with Windows 7 SP1 installed and everything seems fine and dandy. To be honest, I can't see any difference

I'm off work now till next Monday, so tomorrow (which is my birthday, btw) I'll have a good session with it

And I have done some more tests with Win7 SP1 and I found no performance issue. It works quiet well. No problems with sound and so on.

I did the same and I agree no performances issues

Everything fine with sp1 works lika a charm
