Digital DJ Tips predictions for 2011

Postby Blackbrook on 04 Jan 2011, 13:21

I stumbled across this link:

http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/12/DJ ... -for-2011/

Read it and it sounds quite nice :) Unfortunately mixvibes is not mentioned anywhere. I guess it needs some time till the whole world knows that the majors share their power now with "underdogs" like mixvibes.

Greetings,

Steve

Great article Steve!

Definitly a shame not be mentioned especially for Vfx Control which is way ahead of the competition in terms of features and concept!

One day, the world will know that Tiesto is using it we hope !

Besides, I'm really not attracted to the 4 decks mixing buzz ... i guess i need to masterize with 2 decks first uh

Yes, this is what I had in mind, too! The whole video mixing thing is growing bigger and bigger! If you know Sasha you know that he is always forward thinking and he did a visual show in addition to his sets, too! He does it with CDj 2000 or something like that - I am not that deep into this theme.

I hope so! He is a huge name and a huge commercial for you if it gets out :)

HAHA! I am not looking forward to 4 decks, too! I am this old, conservative 2 deck mixer. Four decks seems to be good for Loops or drop ins but there will be a sampler some day! So no need for Cross to be a four deck wizard ;) Just my opinion - someone else will see this different for sure! ;)

Yeah I knew that, nothing new except the thing that Pioneer will enter in the arena. But, either way, my Mixvibes is the best so nothing new if I am concerned!

  good article, yes slightly sided to the thought process of 4 deck digital dee-jaying, hope Cross stays on track with the solid progress that its making,  isnt mixvibes Producer covering the need of multi decks :?: :?: and yes Vfx is un mentioned   and out there working and getting ahead of the rest that will try to scramble a solution, :!: and the thought of Pioneer entering the MIDI controller aspect leads to belive the collabriation with mixvibes and its software will lead to even better endeverors,  the general idea recived that things are lookin good for mixvibes by the solid work done in prep

First prediction that came true:

http://pioneerdj.com/index_f.html#/en/products/ddjs1

EDIT: First I thought Pioneer send me two similar mails, but then I realised that they released TWO controllers, one for serato, the other one for traktor:

OMG!

So what I really dont see future djing with those kind controlers eventhough I liked the one for traktor. I also got confused when I saw the mails but later on it was all clear. Either way as always, no matter what I'll do my best to build Mixvibes even more and make it best ever, so with that said I really dont care about anything else.

Anyone interested in the price?

1699$ and 1999$ ... more than ridiculous if you are asking me!

Yep, I agree with you, Steve. But that's Pioneer for you. They do make quality gear but in my opinion it's overpriced.

I spent £350 on a 2 channel Pioneer mixer 2 years ago (DJM400) and to be honest I could of spent £150 and got the same result and quality.

They know they can charge ££££'s for there gear because a lot of DJ's are brainwashed in thinking that there Pioneer gear is the best, and so they will go out and buy it.

As long as you can keep the crowd rocking, it doesn't matter what equipment you use, You can have a £150 controller or a £1300 CDJ/MIDI controller. The crowd don't give a s**t and don't really care, as long as they're having a good time ;)
