I'm about to purchase DVS Ultimate U-Mix 44

Postby djvon on 14 Jul 2010, 19:39

Goodday, I was wondering if I should purchase the DVS Ultimate package because I only have a single turntable,Numark m2 mixer and a korg kontrol. Is it possible that amputate mode can be achieved and how do you set it up in the DVS 7? I'm eargerly awaiting a response before I purchase. One more question, can anyone confirm that the U-Mix 44 is good for scratching? (Latency wise). :)

As far as I can see you have the ability to control two decks with your timecode records/cds and you have two different decks that you can control with your mouse/MIDI controller. I have absolutely no experience if that really works so this is just a suggestion and as I see it ;) Maybe there is someone out there who is working the way you would like to work.

This is nothing the audio interface is responsible for. A low latency means that your computer/notebook is pretty good configured for audio software and has enough power. Usually it is the user's computer that causes a high latency ;)

yes there is a one time code vinly mode....
this lets you control 2 decks in mixvibes with one turntable & use the TAB key on your laptop keyboard to switch vinly control from one deck to the other

how you will set this up {in the software } is go to the time code vinly/C.D page in the Options/down the bottom off the time code vinly & C.D page is a box titled Advance [ click it ]....now you see the one activity turntable box [click it ] & your good to go...

how you set it up with the hardware { the U-Mix 44 sound card } is
your one turntable out-puts go into the in-puts 1 & 2 on the U-Mix
sound card ...now the U-Mix sound card out-puts 1 & 2 go to the left channel on your mixer & out-puts 3 & 4 go to the right channel

ps....check that you have out-put in the mixvibes decks set right
left mixvibes deck output box is set to one AND the right mixvibes deck out-put box is set to 2.

pss....map your MIDI controller for both decks in mixvibes to make it easy to use one turntable
