You can try to enhance your track with tools included in Audacity. I would recommend working with the eq and this kind of tool that deletes noise in tracks.

Yep . Steve is on the money  ( Phaded close second  ) The sad truth is there is not much you can do to a crappy sounding MP3. Eq-ing/ hiss removal is your best option. maybe some tools in sound forge also might help. Cheers

you can try Platinum Notes from the makers of mixed in key although you cant turn sh*t into gold, this app will adjust the gain and apply many algorithms to increase the sound quality and remove distortion etc. i use it, so all my WAV's and MP3's have the same volume and similar quality's the app is not free around $99 http://www.platinumnotes.com/

The only thing that sux with Platinum Notes is the key correction..BEWARE..sometimes it stuffs up. It muffed a couple of my tracks Cheers

yes i agree it can bugger up the key however they have fixed this in version 3 and this setting can now be turned off
