I can not monitor either side of my players. What gives. I have been trying and trying with Mixvibes and I haven't had any luck. I really would like to use MV, but every time I try it doesn't work. I purchased Cross, it didn't work. Now I have Home and it doesn't work. What's up. I know this stuff isn't rocket scientist stuff. All I want to do is use the product.

Hi Grego..
Whats your setup? >
turntables?
CDJ?
MIDI?
External mixer?
Soundcard? number of stereo output pairs?
Or are you using internal 'Cross' mixing controls?
Cheers

  welcome to mixvibes, home 7 and also Cross   if it is the usb sound doggle (card) supplied with home, then if the card isnt defective then its just a matter in proper setup,  use mine for home 7,6, also have used it with other d j programs as well, and have finaly figured out how to incorpate it into using it with the Cross demo   a little more info would help us get you sorted, especialy when using it with Cross numerious posting along the lines ,with info that might help,  do not understand how it doesnt work with home, other than the monitoring set up it functions, and can be used with Cross and asio 4 all,  see posting in tut section on other postings on sound card set ups. :cool:mainly need to know what type, model, brand on the sound cards ,computer installed and usb sc info

I am using Home 7. I have a BCD 2000 and a Gemini external mixer with the Mixvibe USB Stick. My computer is a Dell Inspiron Windows 7.

Steve:
The way it is meant to work is you use the 'Usb audio stick' to monitor one channel with your headphones, and you use your PC speakers (or connect the PC headphone jack to an amplifier) for your 'house' mix.

Anyways in your current situation, you have to select the option for outputs on the 'audio' preferences in Cross, and 'multi soundcard' option for 'MV Home.

But in your case, you might not need that usb sound dongle at all ! ;)

Another option is :
The BCD 2000 would be all you need to use, but not sure if the internal soundcard will work with Cross (it should with ASIO 4ALL Drivers i think) - because this would be the easiest option as it has a built in soundcard and MIDI mixer combined !

Then you could control Cross using MIDI (not sure if it is MIDI mapped/supported in Home or Cross though) - I know you can download MIDI maps for the BCD 2000 for DVS7, but not sure about Home or Cross (can someone confirm this please).
Cheers

Okay here goes,

I purchased the Mixvibe USB Stick thinking it would monitor both channels, but looking at it now, I would need one in(to the USB Stick) and four out (RCA's) to my external mixer to enable two channel monitoring with the onboard mixer. As far as the BCD 2000. I am unable to use it with Home 7 because Behringer does not support Windows 7 64bit at this time, so it makes it impossible for me to utilize the BCD due to driver support. I tried the learning function but there was no response. Since purchasing the Cross Pack and the Home, I haven't had any luck. Maybe I should've stayed with Virtual DJ? But I really like MV.

Yeah well the BCD 2000 is a few years old now, so you can only hope that Berringer will get W7 64bt driver going :(

  hey dont give up yet, didnt like the vj demo myself and had issues with using the home 6,7 sound doggle on it and another weak d j program, :!: :!: there is a solution and it can be found, ,,my next move would be to get the upgrade (full) version of Cross (which you have), because i can use my onboard sc and the sound doggle, with the Cross demo :!: your problem i dont think is insurmountable, if you like the mixvibes software then there are options and work arounds :!:

   forgot to add my
