From D.J to Video-dj'ing....my shopping list

over the next 6 months I will be setting up a fill V.J SET-UP with 42 LCD
I want to set it up as cheap as I can [ VJ gear is very expensive ] but make it very Powerful & fun to use ...both audio & video
& still have room to add better V.J gear later

I was thinking of Mixvibes Vfx [4 deck video mixing] on my new laptop with MotionDIVE

controlled by my new Roland MC 808 grooveBOX on my old laptop ..
this is what the manual has to say's about V-LINK from the 808 to Motoion dive..
* Make Edirol motion dive tokyo console edition playback settings remotely from the 808
* Use the 808 sequencer to synchroized music and video..
*Use the 808 keyboard pads to switch images or generate images in the motion dive
*Use the faders to adjust the brightness or color

I'm going to route the audio from Vfx into the 808 for the effect & & sampling ..

Now ...how to mix the two laptops together + my new ZOOM Q3 video recorder.....THINK , THINK , THINK

I GOT IT !!!!!...get two VGA to S-Video cables [ one for each laptop & I can get one off these .....Roland LVS 400....

it also has V-LINK so I can control the LVS 400 from my Edirol pcr 500 MIDI keyboard....

Going to have to put some off my DJ toyz up for sale to pay for this

What I need to get , to get this set-up up & running is...

Hey Wazza, sounds like great set-up options... ambitious too

Better invest $$$ a decent amount and get a phat set up right away !!!

the MV 8000 looks like a real dope peace of gear... I'd like to test one out.
