Hello. I am here on a mission. Well the end of a mission (hopefully). It started with me making the decision to take another step in the digital direction, then searching for the best DVS system for my buck. I am looking at the MixVibes Cross Pack. I currently use 2 CDJ-1000's and a Denon DNX1500 mixer. I want to continue to use them and my main reason to go with a DVS, among many, is to have my library of music at my fingertips. Carrying a laptop and hard drive, is much easier than dragging around the over 1000 Cd's (which of course weigh quite a bit). I have a few questions. 1. I read that there is no "thru" function... so that I could pop out the time code CD and still use my CDJ's as normal. Is this true? That would be a big decider for me. Sometimes I need to use a CD someone provided on the spot that I might not have. 2. Is there an ability to auto cue to the beginning of a track with out having to do it manually? So that if I hit play, it instantly starts. 3. As I have never used another DVS, whats is your guys views on Cross? Comparisons to other similar products? Thanks, any help is apreciated. I will also post this in a different thread that will probably get more reads than the "introduce myself" thread. DJ Michael M

Hi Michael, welcome to the forums! Glad to see that you're taking Cross into consideration. On to your questions... 1. I don't have CDJs myself, but with the Phono/Line-In switches in Cross, it's possible to use the thru mode with vinyl. I'd recommend downloading the demo (if you haven't already) and seeing if you can get that to work. 2. As a matter of fact, yes (Located within the preferences) 3. While Cross may not be as feature rich as Traktor (yet), it does offer a simple and straight forward GUI. I've been using Cross ever since it was a Beta program, and it's been incredibly stable. Here's the official write-up on everything it's capable of: http://www.mixvibes.com/site/pageeng/pa ... 7crosspackHope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions

Thanks for the info. I have checked out the demo. Nice interface. But it does no justice to my cause without the audio interface. I've heard that there is a switch for the thru function. I just didn't want extra steps or extra hookups of RCA's to get the results I want.
I wanna go out of my decks into box and out of the box back to my mixer. I assume that's how in hooks up. I wouldn't mind a ton hitting a switch to go "thru". I just want it easy. No fancy hookup's. you know?
