Mixvibes Producer 7 + VCI 100 + MPD32 + RME Fireface 400

Hi guys,

I consider to buy Mixvibes Producer 7 and just want to make sure it's gonna work with my currrent hardware setup. I've got Vestax VCI 100, Akai MPD32, RME Fireface 400 and 2,2GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM laptop. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi DJside,

Your setup will work perfectly with Producer, as it allows for 2 MIDI controllers to be used simultaneously as well as whatever soundcard you'd like.

Hi guys,

I have finally got the Producer 7. I have installed and configured it and then I have found that non of pre installed MIDI presets for VCI 100 doesn't fully cover all MIDI controls. I am used to Traktor LE so I am wondering it doesn't work in pro 7. It seems like at least half of controls are not mapped. Do I have to configure it manually?

I have downloaded latest update of MixVibes and its better now. Also picture of VCI 100 MixVibes edition is necessary to find out the function. Unfortunately I wasn't able to work out track preview to my headphones and also left jog wheel doesn't allow scratch. Right one works fine. I'm going to put the new labels on as first to get used to now.

on the vci you have 2 headphonos buttons ( at the top off the linefaders ) for CUEing each channel & up the top right hand corner off the vci you have 3 little black knobs ....master volume ,headphono volume & pre , post fader headphono cue

also check you have setup headphonos right in the sound card options

Hi guys,

thanks for your replies. First of all. I have got my VCI with Traktor LE and now I have decided to switch. New Mixvibes template kit is on its way that should sort the navigation quickly. I have got familiar with new Mixvibes control layout on VCI 100 now so I'm almost happy to say everything works fine. Though I would need to do some changes to MIDI setup. I have tried the learn function but a result wasn't exactly what I would expect so I would appreciate any help with this setup changes. I would like to change the following

Preview button - originally is set to switch active window between explorer, media base and play list. I need to change this start stop track preview. I mean to the headphones without loading.

I would like to use effect buttons 3 and 4 to do fast forward and backward in track preview mode.

I would like to change jog wheel in non vinyl mode to fast forward and backward.

Once this is done I would try to bother you with setup of my MPD as well.
