Mixvibes 10 Years Party: Pictures, Reviews and Opinions

After I slept a lot I am ready to leave some words for all that unfortunately could not visit the party and those who spend the time with me and made it a brilliant experince.
I arrived in paris by train thursday evening and took the worst taxi in my life :-): For 8km we needed more than one hour and 20 minutes because the traffic in paris is not from this world. There were so many cars in a traffic circle and a lot of them driving in different ways. Just strange if you have never seen that before but funny in a way
After I checked into the hotel I got a call from Vincent who told me how to get to the Bellevilloise. So I used the metro and met with Nicolas at place gambetta. I got a taste of how hugh paris is when we took the wrong way and Nicolas had to ask his iPhone where to go
That was really funny for a guy like me that grew up and still lives in a very small village where anybody knows everybody and you exactly know where to go. Just had to smile :P
At the club I needed a break because of the whole trip (have been on the way for ten hours non stop). So I sat down somewhere near the stage to watch the presentations when a guy came and said that he is Bigibang
Of course we talked a lot about different things – a very good guy, keep an eye on him! Greetings bigi
Next I went to the area upstairs with a lot of faces that I could connect to names from the forums. So I met Vincent, Nicolas, Gregoire, Paul, Bigibang, UncleVibes, Elodie (quelle tres jolie nom
) djegun, Lilin and the german guys. Sorry if I forgot someone.
An hour later we went down to the club where there were already the DJs playing. So I listened to all the sets and was impressed by Dee Nasty's sound and the Vfx set. At the end of Troubl's set it took some minutes to plug all my stuff and with the help of some mixvibes guys (sorry that I do not know your names :'-() I could start to spin. The sound I played did not amuse all listeners so some of them left (guess this was strange noise for them
), but those who stayed really rocked! I enjoyed the whole set and hope that you did the same. Thanks for all the guys that partyed with me! It was really really amazing!
At the end of the set the party was over and I was so tired that I did not stay long at the club and took a taxi (nearly the same way as from the north station) back to the hotel. This taxi drove hardly 10 minutes and was really cheap
Okay, the streets were totally empty, so I did not wonder
Back in the hotel I could not sleep because the evening was so excited and so it took an hour when the lights went out. I woke up late and had to hurry because I had to check out. After that I did something that I missed for years: I bought a french baguette
No one else does better baguettes than the French. I missed these since I last visited France years ago. The last thing I did was visiting the eiffel tower. After that – I had to carry my luggage with me all the time – I went to the north station where I spend the rest of the time till my train to Köln left.
You can find the few pictures I made on my picasa page: http://picasaweb.google.de/weirdblackbrook
I hope that all the guys who took pictures will post them anywhere and link them here.
Finally I want to thank some of you:
Vincent,Nicolas, Paul et Gregoire for the booking (train and hotel), leading me to the Bellevilloise, for talking about different stuff and for caring about me. Never felt that good at a place where I do not know anyone! Thank you!
Bigibang and UncleVibes for their words and for being at the party and spending time together
Elodie pour les conversations en anglais. Comme gregoire a dit: elle est plus de bilingual. Merci a toi
the technic guys, sorry for summing you all up under this name because I forgot your names :-(
Ralph and Dirk from the german desk
the people that rocked the party
and everybody at mixvibes, really everybody!
Thanks for all!!!!!
