Hi ya

Just signed up as I'm thinking of buying the mix vibes software but wanted to make sure it will work with what I have.

I was using a version of tracktor that came with final scartch 2 but due to crashing problems I moved over to CD's for the past 12 months.

I thought the crashing may have been my old 2005 powerbook so I just bought a new MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 and found out that the Tracktor software I have will not work on my new laptop and that even if I get version 3.3 that I may still have glitches with it.

Someone recommended mix vibes.
Will the mix vibes work with my new laptop & the final scratch 2 sound card and allow me to use timecode function through CDJ's?

If so what version do I need and does it run on OSX?
Cheers Tina Hart :)

MixVibes Cross will work on your macbook and will work with any sound card including the FS interface. this will also give you the CD control you require
check the following video that talks about Cross CD control

Thats great news.

So if I download the demo do I use the timecode cd's I already have from final scratch 2 or do I need to download new ones to test it?

So I would need to buy the CD timecodes to test the demo?

Not necessarily, you can test the demo without them just to see how you like the software, etc. But if you're set on testing the timecode, I don't see an alternative.

I'm finally ready to purchase software to work with the FS2 hardware & have one more question to ask.

Does the mixvibe Cross enable me to use with Vinyl decks, CD decks and my MIDI keyboard so that what ever venue I arrive at I can choose what ever option is best as I'm going traveling to DJ around Thailand and some of the equipment out there is poor quality so I'm thinking of taking me keyboard with me as a back up to control the software that I will choose to buy.

Many thanks
Tina Hart :)

Yes Tina, you can control Cross though Vinyl timecodes and (or) CD timecodes. I use TT's at home and CDJ's 800 at the club. You just need to buy both set's of timecode's.

Also Cross works fine with mouse and Keyboard shortcuts. As for the MIDI keyboard it is not possible yet. There is plans to introduce MIDI learning in Cross but that's in a future update I guess.

Hope that helps :)

BTW

I brought MV from here It was the best deal I found, free postage too ;)

  welcome to mixvibes ,if you have already downloaded the demo ver of Cross then that gives you a intro to Cross, there are some MIDI already mapped to Cross and i think MIDI learning is in the plans, like every software trying to incompish all the varaibles might be hard ,ie travling and trying to use existing equiptment that /hasnt been adapated for the soft ware,,the demo should give you a idea of what needed, the fourm is here to help you solve any problems you might encounter, there are some post pertanint to Cross and mac , that will be helpful, plus there are various indivauls that are using Cross with mac and can help you by there expericences    too many words to say welcome to mixvibes and Cross,
